Meet Sari, the driving force behind Cairns Children’s Museum (CCM).

As a devoted mother and passionate mathematics teacher, Sari embarked on a journey inspired by her global experiences exploring Children’s Museums. Despite encountering the wonders of these educational spaces around the world, she noticed a gap right here in Cairns.

Fueled by her strong sense of community, contagious energy, and zest for fun, Sari decided it was time to fill that void. She envisioned a space that would be inclusive, inviting all children and their parents or caregivers to play, have fun, and learn together.

From this vision, Cairns Children’s Museum (CCM) was born. Its rapid growth serves as proof that Sari’s intuition was spot-on—Cairns’ children and their parents/caregivers were craving more opportunities for enjoyable, educational play.
